So Bruce, tell me something about your props…

If you’ve followed Bruce Highland, you know Bruce Highland has some specific preferences on his ‘stuff.’ Notably, the Sig Sauer P226 9mm semiautomatic pistol he carries. What’s up with that? Well, back in the day, I used to shoot IPSC combat pistol competitions before I went in the military. I was actually pretty good (and not just by my own accord.) The P226 was the pistol I wish I had at the time. When I was in the military, the Army had not quite yet adopted the Beretta as the M9 service pistol, and Sig developed the 226 for the trials. It was actually the better pistol, being the choice of federal law enforcement agencies and military units, of those which had a choice of what they could carry. The plain clothes MI guys were packing these things at the time. I used to run in to them at the range occasionally.

What about the Altima? I don’t drive an Altima. I drive a Sentra. That’s even more boring than an Altima. Sure, I can afford more but cars bore me - I fly airplanes and ride motorcycles. The Altima, in my view, is the practical, boring, you have no life car but yet it still is not a minivan. No, Bruce will never drive a minivan. I promise you that. Nor will Svetlana.

You might notice Bruce is always at the gym. He can give vivid descriptions of the gym. He can give detailed descriptions of the various brands of female leggings, down to the stitch and the cut, from astute observation. I won’t say where Bruce got that one from.
